The PINE family is sad to announce that after 10+ years with Pine Test Equipment, General Manager, Todd Arnold will be leaving the company, July 28, 2023. His new opportunity will take him closer to home and family. We want to acknowledge and thank Todd for his leadership and many contributions that he has generously brought to PINE.
Todd was an active member of subcommittees
DO4.20 Mechanical Tests of Asphalt Mixtures and DO4.26 Fundamental/Mechanical Test. He was instrumental in the adoption of the ASTM Standard Test Method for Rotary Wheel Testing (RWT) of Compacted Asphalt Mixtures D8259/D8259M-21 that determines rutting and moisture susceptibility of asphalt mixtures.
As General Manager of Pine Test Equipment, Todd worked closely with the PINE employees who designed, built, and maintained PINE asphalt testing equipment. He directed the implementation of ISO equipment standards for PINE’s Field Service Technicians and customers. Over the last decade, he oversaw the development of engineering solutions to ensure customers’ equipment remained operational when the original parts were no longer available. Some of these solutions included CPU replacements for the 125X, G1 and 850, the GB1 (Brovold) touchscreen, the re-design of the rotary wheel tester and the much anticipated new LF1 load frame. Proficient in technical writing, Todd wrote and updated the owner’s manuals and provided technical content for the company’s website. During Covid-19, he led his team through workplace and supply chain issues.
Todd was friendly and easy-going, yet he was a hard-worker, an effective manager, and a true man of integrity. He always had a positive attitude in some tough situations and tried his best to bring harmony to the workplace.
